Union is a small, spirited, independent liberal arts college in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain range. The college, affiliated with the United Methodist Church, was founded in 1879 in the town of Barbourville. Union College is a learning community dedicated to creating personal, intellectual and social transformation through the pursuit of knowledge, wisdom, service and spiritual growth.
Four state parks filled with falls, lakes and streams surround the 100-acre campus. The famous Wilderness Road spans the east side of campus and Cumberland Gap National Historic Park is just 30 miles away. |
